MembersWinston Vaughan, M.D., Karen Fong, M.D., Kathleen Low, R.N., N.P., and advocate Wendy Stokes are the founding partners of the Sinus Care Foundation. This non-profit organization was established in early 2008 as a means to proactively address the reality that sinus related conditions affect over 45 million people in the United States alone, yet curative treatment remains elusive for the majority of sufferers. At stake are their health, well-being, productivity, and quality of life. The Foundation was born of a simple question: “What is missing here and how can we start to change that?” Though our initial step is to support medical research and the education of health professionals, we are focused on the full spectrum of issues which impact the management of sinus related diseases. These issues span increasing pollution, changing patterns of pollination, health care access, public service information, patient referrals, related surgical devices, pharmaceuticals, and more.
